About

Nick is a lifelong musician and audio enthusiast originally hailing from western Montana.  His education is a product of the University of Montana Entertainment Business Management and Spokane Falls Audio Engineering Program. 

After finishing his education in 2014, Nick started employment at Hamilton Studio in Spokane WA.  Specializing in the art of production and postproduction sound engineering and learning many of the trades of the film industry, Nick began flying drones in 2013 and became a Part 107 Pilot when the FAA program was launched in 2016.  From humble beginnings of flying the DJI Phantom 2 drone utilizing a GoPro Hero 3 camera, Nick now operates 2, DJI inspire 2s, capable of shooting ultra high resolution.

Nick is an extended range guitar enthusiast and has played in many local bands including his passion project Flannel Math Animal.  His guitar collection consists of a 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 string and even a custom prototype 16 string created for him by Venezuelan guitarist, Felix Martin!

In 2019 Nick became the Stage Manager at Eastern Washington University and also teaches recording arts as a quarterly faculty member.  Also in 2019, Nick helped launch the Hay Kings Podcast which is now in its 5th season and has featured agriculture experts from all over the world. 

With over 10 years working professionally in the industry, Nick continues to freelance as an audio engineer and drone cinematographer in the pacific northwest and beyond.
